Knot count: 25 wrapping wefts/inch.
Colours: coral red, light maroon, dark maroon, light blue, dark blue, light yellow, light green, ivory (8).
Condition: excellent. Complete in every respect.
Notes: A very sweet double bag with a lovely autumnal palette in excellent condition. Compare the hooked motif with that on John Wertime, ‘Sumak Bags of Northwest Persia and Transcaucasia’, London 1998, plate 89 p. 153.
Provenance: Teheran market (circa 1970), Edi Egli Collection, St. Gallen.
