Notes: woven in three panels with the slit-tapestry and dovetailing technique over cotton warps
A rare open field example, distinguished by an unusual yellow ground with a pair of light blue flame motifs and by two half-drawn motifs in dark brown on the border. The minimal design construction of this kilim reminds us of certain Caucasian flatweaves that we have come to know in the last few years, although the floppy handle is indeed typical of early Anatolian kilims.
