A rare white ground rug from the Beni Mguild tribe, located in the Moroccan Middle Atlas mountains, showing a primitive rendition of the diamond pattern framed by one zig zag border and a sequence of small lozenges on the other side. We sometimes find this design arrangement also in their coloured rugs of the Beni Mguild. The use of blue as the secondary colour is also typical for this tribe, as is the very sturdy texture. A perfect format for our contemporary interiors.
