This Basiri khorjin has about half the knot density of the previous example (56 vs 120 kpsi). It displays all typical features in correct proportions and traditional colors. The vibrant back sets this piece apart. Weavers used interlock and dovetail tapestry techniques to create parallel rows of joined lozenges. These shapes glow in dark brown, emerald green, strawberry red, and indigo blue. The iconic ivory border shows a unique pattern. It features two animals flanking a human-like figure. This central figure seems to hold the animals with its arms.
